Levocetirizine:

Montelukast:

Dosage:

Indications:

  • Seasonal Rhinitis
  • Bronchial Asthma

Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity: Patients with a known hypersensitivity to Levocetirizine, Montelukast, or any other component of the formulation.
  • Severe Renal Impairment: Avoid use in patients with severe renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min).
  • Phenylketonuria: Patients with phenylketonuria should avoid use due to the presence of aspartame in certain formulations.

Precautions:

  • Alcohol Consumption: Avoid alcohol or other CNS depressants, as they may increase the risk of drowsiness or other side effects.
  • Liver Dysfunction: Use with caution in patients with liver impairment; dose adjustment may be required.

Adverse Events:

  • Common: Headache, drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, and abdominal pain.
  • Serious: Behavioral changes, hallucinations, agitation, suicidal thoughts, and angioedema.
  • Others: Levocetirizine may cause urinary retention in some patients, particularly those with predisposing conditions.
