When to use LongPan D  :

  • Broader Indication Coverage: While Longpan (Pantoprazole) is ideal for acid-related disorders, Longpan D is particularly effective for patients who also experience delayed gastric emptying or require additional antiemetic support.

  • Allergies: Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pantoprazole, Domperidone, or other components of the formulation.
  • Liver and Kidney Impairment: Use with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment; dose adjustments may be necessary.
  • QT Prolongation: Domperidone may cause QT prolongation; monitor patients with a history of cardiac conditions.

Adverse Events:

  • Common: Headache, diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness, and abdominal pain.
  • Serious: QT prolongation, arrhythmia, severe allergic reactions, and Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea.
  • Others: Long-term use of Pantoprazole may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency and increased risk of bone fractures.
