Description: Lariderm contains Mupirocin, an antibiotic ointment effective in treating a variety of bacterial skin infections. It offers targeted topical protection and promotes healing.

Indications:

• Impetigo
• Severe Erythema
• Folliculitis
• Carbuncles
• Infected Eczema & Wounds
• Secondary Skin Infections
• Furunculosis

Mode of Action:

• Mupirocin: Acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively targeting and eliminating the bacteria responsible for skin infections.

Usage Instructions:

• Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected area three times daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider. Ensure the area is clean and dry before application.

Use in Stress Ulcers and Bedsores:

• Stress Ulcers: Mupirocin is not typically used for stress ulcers, which are usually managed with systemic medications and interventions addressing the underlying cause. Topical antibiotics like Mupirocin may be used if there is a secondary bacterial infection of the ulcerated tissue.
• Bedsores (Pressure Ulcers): Mupirocin can be useful in treating infected bedsores by targeting bacterial infections that may complicate the healing process. Regular cleaning and proper wound care, alongside Mupirocin application, can aid in infection control and support healing.
