- Atorvastatin 10 mg
- Fenofibrate 160 mg
Description:
Vinstat-F combines Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate in a single tablet to provide comprehensive lipid management. This formulation is designed to address both high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels, promoting overall cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
Indications:
Vinstat-F is indicated for:
- Management of hyperlipidemia, including elevated LDL cholesterol and triglycerides.
- Treatment of mixed dyslipidemia in patients with insufficient response to diet and exercise alone.
- Reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with a history of coronary artery disease or other cardiovascular conditions.
Mechanism of Action:
- Atorvastatin: An HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that decreases cholesterol synthesis in the liver, leading to reduced LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, and increased HDL cholesterol.
- Fenofibrate: A fibric acid derivative that reduces triglycerides and increases HDL cholesterol by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) which enhance lipid metabolism.
Dosage and Administration:
- The usual dose is one tablet of Vinstat-F daily, taken with or without food.
- Dosage adjustments should be based on individual patient needs and response to treatment.
Contraindications:
