Composition:

• Atorvastatin 10 mg
• Fenofibrate 160 mg

Description:
Vinstat-F combines Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate in a single tablet to provide comprehensive lipid management. This formulation is designed to address both high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels, promoting overall cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.

Indications:
Vinstat-F is indicated for:

• Management of hyperlipidemia, including elevated LDL cholesterol and triglycerides.
• Treatment of mixed dyslipidemia in patients with insufficient response to diet and exercise alone.
• Reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with a history of coronary artery disease or other cardiovascular conditions.

Mechanism of Action:

• Atorvastatin: An HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor that decreases cholesterol synthesis in the liver, leading to reduced LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, and increased HDL cholesterol.
• Fenofibrate: A fibric acid derivative that reduces triglycerides and increases HDL cholesterol by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) which enhance lipid metabolism.

Dosage and Administration:

• The usual dose is one tablet of Vinstat-F daily, taken with or without food.
• Dosage adjustments should be based on individual patient needs and response to treatment.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Atorvastatin, Fenofibrate, or any component of the tablet.
• Severe liver impairment or active liver disease.
• Renal impairment with creatinine clearance < 30 mL/min.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended due to the Atorvastatin component.
• Caution is advised in patients with a history of gallbladder disease or renal impairment.
• Discontinue use and seek medical attention if symptoms of severe muscle pain or weakness occur, as this may indicate rhabdomyolysis.

Side Effects:
Common side effects may include:

• Abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Headache
• Muscle pain

Serious side effects, although rare, may include:

• Liver enzyme abnormalities
• Rhabdomyolysis
• Gallbladder disease

Drug Interactions:

• Caution is advised when used with other medications affecting lipid metabolism or hepatic enzymes.
• Potential interactions with anticoagulants, cyclosporine, and other drugs metabolized by the liver.

• Keep out of reach of children.
