Composition:

• Teneligliptin 20 mg

Description:
Tenelar-M combines Teneligliptin and Metformin in a single tablet, providing a dual mechanism for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus. This formulation offers the benefits of a DPP-4 inhibitor and prolonged-release Metformin to help achieve optimal blood glucose control.

Indications:
Tenelar-M is indicated for:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.
• As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control.
• Use in patients inadequately controlled with Metformin or Teneligliptin alone.

Mechanism of Action:

• Teneligliptin: A DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin hormone levels, which enhances insulin secretion and lowers glucagon levels, thereby improving glucose control.
• Metformin SR: A prolonged-release formulation that decreases hepatic glucose production and increases insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, facilitating better glucose uptake and utilization.

Dosage and Administration:

• The recommended dose is one tablet of Tenelar-M daily, taken with or after the morning meal.
• Dosage adjustments may be needed based on individual patient response and blood glucose levels.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to Teneligliptin, Metformin, or any component of the tablet.
• Severe renal impairment or significant liver dysfunction.
• Type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Monitor renal function regularly due to the Metformin component.
