Dosage:

• Recommended Dose: One tablet once daily, at the same time each day.
• Special Populations:
• Renal Impairment: No initial dose adjustment is necessary, but monitor kidney function regularly.
• Hepatic Impairment: Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment; dose adjustment may be necessary.
• Elderly: Dose adjustment is typically not required, but close monitoring is advised.

Mode of Action:
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to constrict, thereby lowering blood pressure. By relaxing blood vessels, telmisartan improves blood flow and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood.

Indication:

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults.
• To reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and myocardial infarction in high-risk patients.

How to Take Laritel 40:

• Take one tablet daily, preferably at the same time each day.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
• Continue taking the medication even if you feel well, as hypertension often has no symptoms.

Possible Side Effects:
